Find Us at the Perth Farmers’ Market

You can find us at the Perth Farmers’ Market every year, starting opening weekend and running through to the end of October. Beginning May 9, 2026, we’ll be there biweekly, bringing our farm products straight to you.

This will be our second year at the market, and we truly love connecting with our clients, sharing what we’ve raised with care, and being part of such a strong local community.

Certified Local and 100% Canadian

We have proudly partnered with Foodland Ontario and are now certified local. But what does that mean for you? It means you can trust that you’re getting a truly local product—one that is born, raised, fed, and processed right here in Ontario.
Every step of the process is held to the highest standards. Your food is inspected by a certified Ontario food inspection agent and professionally packaged at a government-inspected butcher shop. This ensures not only freshness but also the highest level of safety and quality.

Chicken Farmers of Ontario (CFO)

What is the CFO?

The Chicken Farmers of Ontario is a regulatory board that oversees and maintains chicken production standards across the province. We are proud to announce that we have recently become Lanark County’s only Artisanal chicken farmer!

As Artisanal chicken farmers, we uphold the same rigorous standards for animal health and welfare, food safety, worker safety, and environmental sustainability as all Ontario chicken farmers. We ensure our chickens thrive in a healthy, low-stress environment to meet the unique demands of different markets. Our goal is to provide fresh, high-quality, locally raised chicken to our neighbors and community.

Public Health and Safety

Only Quota Holders and Artisanal chicken farmers are authorized to sell chicken off-farm property. This regulation exists to protect public health by ensuring that all chicken sold meets strict food safety standards. Both categories of farmers have been inspected and approved to transport and sell chicken while maintaining the highest levels of health and safety.
